NETHERLANDS – ABU REPORTS STAFFING GROWTH

According to the Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU), hours worked by temporary workers increased by 8% and turnover also grew by 8% in period 2 (weeks 5-8) compared to the same period last year.

ABU divides the year into four-week periods reported, with the 2nd period the most recently ended. This period had an equal amount of workable days compared to the same period last year, so no correction was applied.

Temporary workers in the administrative sector saw a 3% increase in hours worked and turnover grew by 3% compared to last year. Hours in the industrial sector increased 11% and turnover increased 13% compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the amount of worked hours in the technical sector increased 8% and turnover grew 10%.
