According to the Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU), hours worked by temporary workers stayed the same and turnover did not change either for the fifth period (weeks 17-20) compared to the same period last year.
ABU divides the year into four-week periods reported, with period 5 the most recently ended. This period had two workable days more compared to the same period last year, so a significant correction was applied.
Temporary workers in the administrative sector saw a 6% decrease in hours worked and turnover fell by 6% compared to last year. Hours in the industrial sector increased 4% and turnover increased 4% compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the amount of worked hours in the technical sector increased 3% and turnover grew 1%.
